Head of QA

About the role

Capital Recruiters is looking for an experienced Head of QA to join a long-term international product environment supporting one of the world’s leading navigation platforms.

This is a senior leadership role with responsibility for a QA organization of approximately 48 specialists working across multiple product squads.

Each squad has its own QA leadership structure, while the Head of QA will work at the next level — managing QA leaders and managers, setting quality strategy, improving engineering practices, and partnering closely with international stakeholders.

The role is based in Warsaw and requires full-time office presence.

What you will do

• Lead the overall QA function across approximately 8 product squads.
• Manage and develop QA Team Leads / Quality Leads.
• Define and continuously improve QA strategy, quality standards, KPIs and processes.
• Drive automation and engineering improvements across multiple teams.
• Work closely with product, engineering and international quality stakeholders.
• Build scalable QA practices across a complex product organization.
• Identify quality risks and improve release confidence across teams.
• Introduce and develop practical AI-driven approaches within QA processes.
• Help teams adopt AI where it creates measurable value in testing, automation, analysis or quality engineering.

What we are looking for

• 8+ years of professional QA / Quality Engineering experience.
• Strong leadership background with experience managing QA Leads, Team Leads or other managers — not only individual contributors.
• Experience managing a QA organization or several QA teams simultaneously.
• Strong knowledge of QA strategy, test automation and quality engineering practices.
• Experience working with complex international products and multiple stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills.
• Practical experience introducing AI-based QA approaches from scratch.
• Ability to explain what AI solutions were introduced, why they were introduced and what measurable impact they created.
• Strong English.
• Fluent Ukrainian.
• Willingness to work from the Warsaw office 5 days per week.

We are particularly interested in candidates currently based in Poland or elsewhere in Europe who are open to relocating to Warsaw.
