Senior Mobile QA Automation Engineer — Java / Appium

About the role

Capital Recruiters is looking for a Senior Mobile QA Automation Engineer to join a large international engineering environment working on one of the world’s leading navigation products.

The role is heavily focused on mobile test automation, with Java and Appium at the core of the technical stack.

We are looking for an engineer who is comfortable not only writing automated tests, but also working with automation architecture, frameworks, code quality and complex Android/iOS testing scenarios.

What you will do

• Design, develop and maintain mobile automation solutions.
• Build and improve automated test frameworks using Java and Appium.
• Develop automated coverage for Android and iOS applications.
• Work on regression, integration and end-to-end automation.
• Contribute to automation architecture and framework scalability.
• Analyze failed tests and complex mobile defects.
• Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines.
• Review automation code and help maintain engineering standards.
• Collaborate with QA engineers, developers and international product stakeholders.
• Support and mentor other QA engineers when needed.

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of professional test automation experience.
• Strong hands-on Java automation background.
• Around 3+ years of practical Appium experience.
• Strong commercial mobile automation experience with both Android and iOS.
• Experience creating or significantly developing automation frameworks.
• Good understanding of mobile automation architecture and test design.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD.
• Experience with code reviews and maintaining automation code quality.
• Ability to explain personal contribution to automation frameworks and complex testing solutions.
• Upper-Intermediate or higher English.
• Willingness to work from the Warsaw office 5 days per week.

Experience with tools such as Maven, TestNG/JUnit, Selenium, REST Assured, device farms or similar mobile testing infrastructure would be an advantage.
